Croix Valley Grillmeister Dave P | February 2022
Dave P has a grilling degree.
Ok maybe not actual degree, but he deserves one (also that rhymes). The folks up in Canada have been have been creating incredible dishes with Croix Valley products, and Dave P caught our eye a few weeks ago. From Coffee Rubbed Ribeye Steak to Smoked Holubtsi, Dave knows how to create meals that entice and excite the senses. Just who is this guy?

Whether it be mountain biking, snowmobiling, fishing, or just going for a cruise on the motorcycle, Dave will have a smile on his face.
He has a taste for adventure and has found himself in many epic camping spots across Canada and the US. He's a dedicated 14-year professional that enjoys being around family, friends, and good food!

On to the questions!
When did you get into grilling, and how often do you fire it up?
I've always enjoyed cooking over fire, propane or open-fire pits at the lake. One day about 4 years ago, I went to a local hardware store and saw my first pellet grill sitting there. I didn't know much about BBQ, but I knew I had to have this grill. It truly has changed my perspective of food and I'm always thinking about what I can cook next.
Name one grilling technique you’ve learned over the years that has served you well.
Planning and Patience. Everything about cooking changes when you learn this one.
What’s the most unique thing you’ve grilled or cooked?
What’s the most unique thing you’ve grilled or cooked?
I'll cook anything I can think of on the grill. Last week I made cabbage rolls!
Tell us about your most memorable day around the grill.
My most memorable day around the grill has to be my first brisket cook. I was with my family at the lake, we had beautiful hot weather, lots of cold drinks, and great food with the people I care about the most.
