Wade & Michelle Brelje | Croix Valley Pro Team | Minnesota

Wade grew up in Henderson, MN and Michelle grew up in Stillwater, MN, and they currently live in Lakeville, MN. They got into food competitions near the end of 2020. Wade was convinced to try an amateur steak contest and instantly became obsessed. After that contest, he watched endless YouTube videos and even took some classes. Wade competed a few times in 2021 (Steak and Ancillary for the SCA).

After the SCA changed the rule to one ancillary entry per person, and consistent nagging, Wade finally convinced Michelle to start competing in the Ancillary competitions as well in 2022. Competing in steak took a little more convincing, but Michelle now competes in both ancillary and steak in the SCA competitions as well. In 2022 Wade competed in KCBS, SCA, and the World Food Championships.

When they are not on the road competing in food sport, they are busy working at their restaurant, Rack Shack BBQ, in Eagan, MN. Wade is also the co-owner of Distinctive Design Build, LLC, building beautiful new homes.

Their kids also enjoy participating in food competitions, you will see them
more times than not as a whole family. They love competing in the Kid’s Q. Their daughter, Emily won 1st in the Mason City, IA burger Kid’s Q, and our son, Andrew, won 2nd and our daughter, Allison, won 4th in the Carlisle, AR grilled cheese Kid’s Q contest.

In their “free time”, they live the busy Mom and Dad life and are bringing kids to various activities, mostly dance and hockey. They also love to cook at home, trying out various new recipes, mostly kid friendly. They use Croix Valley products in everything they cook, they have even replaced salt and pepper on their dinner table at home.
